The ultimate party experience… be a rock or pop star for the day! Give youR budding rock/pop star a party to remember, with a CD & digital download of their song to take home and cherish forever!

At our fun packed recording parties your budding star and their friends will sing and record their favourite song, design their CD cover and each partygoer will leave with a professionally mixed and edited CD featuring their track. There’s also time for food, cake and fun in our party room. 

During the 2 hour party experience our super friendly team will work with the budding pop stars to rehearse their favourite song before inviting each of them to step up to the professional studio mic and sing their heart out! Vocals can be recorded as a group, or we can give each willing participant their own lines to sing… each arrangement will be individual to suit the participants. 

Then, while the partygoers are busy tucking into cake and nibbles in the party room (food not provided) our studio engineer will professionally mix their song using state of the art recording technology to make sure they sound like pros!

During the party the kids will have a chance to design and draw their very own CD cover and at the end of the experience each partygoer will be presented with a CD of their song in their customer cover to take home as an incredibly special memento of their day.

MIC DROP OFFERS AN EXTENSIVE RANGE OF MUSIC EVENTS INCLUDING OUR MASSIVELY POPULAR BAND CAMPS AND RECORDING PARTIES.

MIC DROP was founded by music industry professionals, Brian and Caroline Hurren. Brian toured the world for 20 years and regularly played to crowds of 40,000 as a member of one of Scotland’s most successful bands, Runrig. He opened his first music school in Stirling in 2011 and now operates Brian Hurren Music Academy with schools in both Stirling and Falkirk. Caroline has worked behind the scenes in the music industry for 15 years. She was a key part of the small team that created the SAY (Scottish Album of the Year) Award that she went on to organise for the next 5 years, she spent 7 years as Manager of the Scottish Music Industry Association and 3 years with artist management company No Half Measures, looking after bands such as Wet Wet Wet and Hue and Cry. Caroline has also worked freelance in international PR, marketing and promotions. She now runs Mini Music Academy, music classes for young children, as well as her own marketing and PR business, Gallus Communications.

MIC DROP combines Brian’s experience as a touring musician and music teacher and Caroline’s experience in events management and marketing to create something quite unique! With a full mobile recording studio and access to an unrivalled selection of instruments and gear from Brian Hurren Music Academy, MIC DROP events are guaranteed to be fun, educational and memorable.
